Santa Claus~Pity For an Old Fool...
Pity for an old fool
Brother can you spare some time.
The snow flakes try to bury me now
But I won’t die, not yet.
There is no Mrs. Claus
She was never mine
The snow banks high against my door
And only memories for company
The elves are gone
They lost their fear of me
But I go on, don’t ask me how
One more year at least
Naughty or nice, a golden rule?
Don’t ask me I’ve ceased to care
Hang your stockings with hope
Perhaps someone will come
Pity an old fool
Whose running out of time
The snow drifts high above my head
All that remains is death
So if I drink too much
Or Deliver late
Forgive me
I Once was great [Santa Claus~13/12/08 11:33~Pity For an Old Fool...]
